HOW TO BOOK
You can secure your place by sending me an email. Payment is by bank transfer or Paypal.
Please state which method & I can send you the appropriate information.
Some venues are more suitable for larger numbers up to 12 people whilst others it's just 7 so I cannot hold places without payment as they get booked up quite quickly.
The workshops make a thoughtful gift for someone & gift vouchers are available & can be redeemed against any workshop - ideal as a Christmas present if you are unsure what to buy someone.
Workshops include all materials, just bring your own scissors & apron if you have a preferred one but I do have spares. They also include refreshments (tea, coffee, mulled wine, cake & will vary from venue to venue). There is option to purchase lunch at Loversall so please let me know if you would like booking for this, and The Vinehouse Cafe at Helmsley do delicious food but is very popular so booking a table direct with them is recommended. And of course your creation is yours to take home to enjoy.
The workshops are very informal & I start off the session with a brief demonstration & then it's over to you to get flowering. I am always on hand to help if you need it but I very much encourage you to create in your own style. The workshops are suitable for complete beginners, or those who have some floristry skills & just want to spend a few hours creating among lovely people, or are keen to to learn more eco-friendly floristry techniques if perhaps you have always used floral foam (Oasis). I should mention here that all my designs are created without using foam and I use British/locally grown flowers & foliage as much as possible. Wreaths are created from scratch - you will attach moss to a 12 inch metal frame then add foliage, then pine cones & seed heads with the option to finish with a ribbon, except for the workshop at Scampston where you will use a large natural vine base & finishing with a hand dyed botanical velvet ribbon. It can be messy so you may want to bring gloves.
Each workshop lasts up to two & a half hours.
A minimum of participants is required for the workshop to run so in the event this number isn't met the workshop will be cancelled & you will receive a full refund. Places are non refundable but you may send someone in your place if you are unable to make it.
If there is a particular type of workshop you would like me to run then please let me know, I am open to ideas. If you would like to host a workshop in your own home then please get in touch & we can chat further. I provide all the materials you just provide the refreshments & the people!
Hooton Pagnell is a pretty limestone village nestled in the South Yorkshire Countryside. Not too far from Doncaster – 7 miles from the station and 4 miles from Junction 38 of the A1. It is approximately 25 miles from Sheffield train station and 27 miles from Leeds train station.
The closest local train stations are Thurnscoe 3.5 miles away which is on the Sheffield to Leeds line and South Elmsall which is 2.5 miles way and on the Leeds to Doncaster line. Please contact me if you require any help with getting here.
