About the event
You will add moss to a metal frame and then add seasonal autumn foliage, berries and seedheads to create a unique wreath. Â
I start off the session with a brief demonstration & then it's over to you to get flowering & work at your own pace.  I am always on hand to help or advise you if you  need it.  The workshops are suitable for complete beginners, or those who have some floristry skills but just want to spend a few hours doing the flowers with lovely people, or for those wanting to learn more eco-friendly floristry techniques if perhaps you have always used floral foam (Oasis). I should mention here that all my designs are created without using foam and I use British/locally grown foliage and flowers which are very natural & slightly wild, grown without pesticides or chemicals & a great source of food for pollinators.  It's a very friendly atmosphere and fine to come on your own.
The workshops make a thoughtful gift for someone, & you can also buy Gift Vouchers that can be redeemed against any workshop.
Wrap up well- the church has heating but it can be cold. Â There is a toilet. Â There is no designated parking so please park on the street in the village, get dropped off/collected if this is an option & car share where possible. PLEASE DO NOT park in front of the church lychgate or block access for residents.
As the materials will have been chosen and selected for the class the place is non refundable or transferable but if you cannot attend you are welcome to send someone in your place. Â The workshop needs a minimum of 6 people to run & will be cancelled if this number is not met. If the church is needed by the vicar I may have to cancel. In both circumstances you will receive a full refund.
All classes include materials and of course your creation is yours to take home to enjoy & admire (along with any spare cake!).
Hooton Pagnell is a pretty limestone village nestled in the South Yorkshire Countryside. Not too far from Doncaster – 7 miles from the station and 4 miles from Junction 38 of the A1.
It is approximately 25 miles from Sheffield train station and 27 miles from Leeds train station. The closest local train stations are Thurnscoe 3.5 miles away which is on the Sheffield to Leeds line and South Elmsall which is 2.5 miles way and on the Leeds to Doncaster line. Please contact me if you require any help with getting here.
