HANNAH JACKSON

Hello my name is Hannah and I am a qualified florist and flower grower based in South Yorkshire and from my small workshop & micro flower patch I am passionate about bringing you beautiful, ethical flowers with integrity.

Inspired by nature and the seasons, and my love of gardens, I offer gift bouquets, flowers for the home - both of which can be delivered within a 15 mile radius - seasonal wreaths and planters, eco-friendly sympathy tributes and, because it is important to me for each wedding to be unique and special, I take on a handful of weddings a year.

I am passionate about using seasonal, artisan flowers in all my work, often grown by me or sourced from a network of local and British growers, which supports independent local business and reduces the miles your flowers have to travel.

I strive to use eco-friendly techniques which means most my designs are biodegradable and I try and limit the use plastic and cellophane, opting for traditional techniques such as chicken wire, moss and gift wrapping in paper or hessian.

FAREWELL FLOWERS

Flowers at a funeral are a beautiful way to say goodbye to someone and a way to celebrate their life, truly capturing their life and their personality.

Flowers represent so much more than the sum of their parts.  Their scent and colour can evoke memories of a loved one, a special occasion, a forgotten garden from childhood, a certain place in time.

My work is a little bit different from the usual sympathy flowers in that my flowers are wild and natural and when in season, I use British & Yorkshire grown flowers from independent growers, or from my cutting garden.  If this is not possible due to the time of year I can source the best quality Dutch flowers and foliage to achieve a natural, wildflower look or I can offer alternative options such as living wreaths and planters or dried flower tributes that can be kept for a long time afterwards.

I don’t use floral foam/oasis in my work but opt for more natural techniques and materials such as moss and chicken wire.  My farewell tributes will degrade naturally and are suitable for anyone having a woodland or natural burial.

I can meet with you and  family members to discuss your requirements either at your home, chosen funeral directors or you can come to me.

I offer a service where I can visit the garden of your loved one and use flowers & foliage grown by them to be incorporated in the farewell tribute for a truly personal touch.

I am based in Hooton Roberts in South Yorkshire and for your convenience I deliver farewell flowers free of charge to any funeral director within in 5 miles of S65 4RU, but am also able to deliver outside this area.  Please contact me for a delivery cost.   You are most welcome to collect flowers from me if you prefer.
